Welcome to the World Heritage Site, Namhansanseong!
In June 2014, Namhansanseong Fortress became a common heritage of mankind. One of the largest fortresses in Korea, Namhansanseong was used as a temporary palace) by the Joseon dynasty during national emergencies thanks to its strategic location. Nowadays, however, it offers us an opportunity to appreciate its beautiful and refreshing natural environment and cultural heritages. Let’s discover the value of Namhansanseong as a world heritage site and the story of its construction!
